Andropov Is Dead, But His Disinformation Machine Carries On

Kerry’s Soviet Rhetoric  The Vietnam-era antiwar movement got its spin from the Kremlin.

KGB priority number one at that time was to damage American power, judgment, and credibility. One of its favorite tools was the fabrication of such evidence as photographs and “news reports” about invented American war atrocities. These tales were purveyed in KGB-operated magazines that would then flack them to reputable news organizations. Often enough, they would be picked up. News organizations are notoriously sloppy about verifying their sources. All in all, it was amazingly easy for Soviet-bloc spy organizations to fake many such reports and spread them around the free world.

This is from 2004, but I hadn’t seen it before.  Ion Mihai Pacepa is credible to me.  The Palestinians, Iranians, Hezbollah, As Sahab owe much of their success to Soviet IPB and Soviet sympathizers in the West.

J. Edgar or Herbert?

Those “loons and crazies” had to be demonized and discredited by the commie symps. When the Soviet Union fell there was no purge of fellow travelers from public life, government, academia, media primarily because the people who would have led such a purge had been purged previously.

McCarthy was right.

If you haven’t read Ann Coulter’s “Treason”, you should. I realize it’s on the light side, but it’s very well sourced and goes counter to what’s frequently assumed to be true - since what is assumed to be true has -more often than not - been shaped by the old media.

I really enjoyed this book of hers, and also “Godless”, but her latest - “If Democrats were smart, they’d be Republicans” - is a waste of time and money. It’s nothing but a collection of witty comebacks. Very clever, but says nothing. I find her style to be too acerbic at times and very funny other times, but whatever the style, she’s very good at pointing out what’s in front of our eyes - even if we haven’t seen it.

I’m reading “Liberal Facism” at the moment - slow reading, but eye opening. I had no idea! It does explain a lot of what we see in the politics today.

The Communists invented the myth that the Nazis were right wingers. Actually the only people the Nazis were to the right of were the Communists.

Mussolini was a Socialist before he invented Fascism.

All the various totalitarians are leftist. Libertarians are the true right wingers.
